This may sound silly..But I was just thinking..whats the word for male monkey and female monkey..hmm..Even in Tamil there are no two words..!

echoos me! Aaan korangu = male monkey, penn korangu = female monkey! may I ask why this sudden research in korangu?did one bite you? (hehe!)
since humans evolved from monkeys (apes), people just left it I guess. and hence no names.
this question, though sounds funny, may have deeper significance.

No..ive not suffered a monkey bite yet(gulp) adhu vera venuma??
but u know its almost pounced on me once..lots of monkeys were around in my college hostel..my college was in the outskirts..and oh boy..they are dangerous..I shooed them away with some fruits!!

Well, I'm used to seeing monkeys IN college :D btw, why the sudden pondering on monkeys? planning to have them as a pet? or planning to get married to one? (I know, I know,, bad one!)
One day in the Garden of Eden, Adam was walking along the banks of a river when he spotted a monkey on a tree. Since Tamizh is the oldest language (sollippome enna thappu), he told the monkey: "Irangu Kurangu". Immediately the monkey got angry and saying "ennaiyaada irangu kurangunu solre, un udambule sirangu vara vazhaikkiren" and so saying he hit Adam on the chest so hard that a rib fell off. From that rib only Evaal (Eve) was born and we have been having troubles ever since :-) So, kurangu senja ubahaaram ithu thaan. All in jest, take it easy :-)
which monkey couple are you talking about? Everyone has a different name... ;-)
